At Jaflong Tandoori, halal is our foundation. Since 2008, every piece of chicken and lamb has been sourced from trusted local halal butchers. We use fresh chicken breast (boneless) for curries, bone-in only for Tandoori Chicken. Proprietor Mr. Syed (40 years restaurant expertise) ensures quality at every level. We don't hold our own restaurant-level halal certification — that keeps costs fair — but we guarantee halal meat from verified suppliers. Our 5-star health & safety kitchen has won , Just Eat Local Legend, and Uber Eats Top Eats. We cook with vegetable ghee (curries) and pure ghee (pilau rice), use Laila basmati rice (gluten-free), and are naturally nut-free. Halal is just the start — with 15+ vegan dishes and 30+ gluten-free options, everyone at the table is welcome. During COVID-19, we stayed open serving free meals to Kingston Hospital and local charities. We raised £2,500 for Shalini Yadav's rare skin condition treatment, hand-delivered to Spain. Community is our heart.

Proprietor Mr. Syed brings 40 years of restaurant expertise. Starting as a waiter, he led family-run Kingston teams before opening Jaflong Ham in 2008. Known for his warm smile and knowing customers by name, this is a true family business with his two sons. During COVID-19, they stayed open — providing free meals to Kingston Hospital, local charities, and safe deliveries. They served Richmond Park police and the Safe Neighbourhood Team, catered for schools, birthdays, and funerals. The family raised £2,500 for Shalini Yadav (16, rare skin condition) and hand-delivered it to Hospital Humanline Banus, Spain. Featured in The Sun and Refinery29. Community is everything.
