Ham sits on the stretch of riverside between Richmond town centre and Kingston upon Thames, with Richmond Park on one side and the Thames on the other. By car from the Ancient Market Place, head over Kingston Bridge and follow the river road through Teddington and Ham, or take the Richmond Road through Ham Common — both are about ten minutes outside peak times. Kingston Bridge is the pinch point, so allow a little longer between 5pm and 6.30pm on weekdays.

By bus, the 65 runs between Kingston and Ham along Richmond Road and drops you a short walk from Ashburnham Road. Cyclists from Kingston and Hampton Wick usually take the towpath to Teddington Lock and cut across Ham — around twenty minutes at an easy pace.

From Kingston town centre, the route to Jaflong crosses towards Ham and finishes at our neighbourhood restaurant on Ashburnham Road. The journey is about ten minutes by car in normal traffic, making collection practical for customers leaving the shops, offices, university or riverside.

Diners can sit down in our 20–24-cover restaurant from 4pm every day, bring their own drinks with no corkage and pay no service charge. Groups larger than nine should telephone first so the team can arrange the room and agree timings.

Kingston town centre keeps late hours around the Rose Theatre, the Bentall Centre, the Ancient Market Place and the riverside bars near Canbury Gardens. Curtain-up and closing time are the two moments when a hot, freshly cooked meal matters most, so KT1 orders are timed rather than simply queued: tell us the hour you want the food and we cook backwards from it.

Pre-theatre diners usually collect from Ham on the way in, saving 10%, while post-show and post-shopping households order delivery for 30–40 minutes later. Either way the food leaves the tandoor minutes before it travels, instead of sitting under a lamp waiting for an app driver.

Beyond the town centre we deliver regularly to Norbiton and Kingston Hill (KT2), the Coombe and Kingston Vale roads, Hampton Wick (KT1), Surbiton and Berrylands (KT5, KT6), Worcester Park (KT4) and New Malden and Old Malden (KT3). Not every dish survives a thirty-minute journey equally well. Kingston orders leave our kitchen packed for the distance: sauces finished a little thicker so they hold temperature, tandoori items rested before they are boxed so they do not steam, and rice and breads bagged separately from the curries.

For KT1 and KT2 deliveries the most reliable choices are the slow-cooked dishes — rogan josh, lamb shank, bhuna and biryani — which arrive better than they leave. Tandoori grills and breads are at their best collected, which is another reason the 10% collection discount is popular with people driving home from Kingston town centre.

Kingston's busiest ordering nights are predictable: Friday and Saturday from about 7pm, Rose Theatre curtain-down, and the Sundays at the start and end of Kingston University terms when families are moving students in and out. On those evenings the kitchen is at full stretch, and the single best thing a Kingston customer can do is book a delivery time earlier in the day.
