What is a korma?

A korma is a mild curry built on a smooth, creamy sauce with warming spices such as cardamom and cinnamon rather than heat from chilli.

Many kormas use ground almonds or cashews. Ours is made with coconut and cream instead, because we don't cook with nuts in our curries.

How we cook it

We cook the chicken gently in a sauce of coconut, cream and delicate spices, so it stays soft and the flavour stays rounded rather than hot.

Goes well with

  • Pilau rice
  • Peshwari or plain naan
  • Onion bhaji

Common questions

Is your korma nut-free?
We make it without nuts, using coconut and cream. We can't guarantee against traces from our suppliers' factories, so please tell us about any allergy when you order.
Is korma good for children?
Yes. It's our mildest curry, and we also have a kids' chicken korma on the menu.
