We are at 16 Ashburnham Road in Ham, inside Richmond upon Thames and a short bus ride from the centre on the 65 or 371. The dining room seats 20–24, you can bring your own wine with no corkage, and there is no service charge, which makes a proper sit-down dinner far cheaper than the equivalent by the river.

If the menu is unfamiliar, the short version: tikka masala and korma are mild and creamy, rogan josh and bhuna are medium and tomato-led, madras and vindaloo are hot, and jalfrezi is hot with peppers and fresh chilli. Rice or bread, not usually both, unless you are sharing.
